New Safety Protocol

  • All bags/belongings entering the Emergency Department will be searched.  It is suggested that patients only bring necessary items (e.g. Keys, ID, Phones)
  • All Patients entering the Emergency Departments will be Screened via a security wand
  • Patients entering the ED Treatment area will be provided a gown
  • Visitation Update - One visitor per patient (children may have both parents).  Visitors will be subject to wanding and are asked not to bring any belongings into the ED with them.  If they choose to bring in bags they will be subject to a search.
  • At this time, all protocols are not currently in effect at Athol Hospital. Full implementation is planned to begin in the coming days.

Chris Cooper - June 2018

Chris joined the Heywood Team in November of 2009 and currently works as an Medical Laboratory Tech. Here is just a little about what her colleagues have to say!

Chris was one of our students here at Heywood and has since become one of our strongest techs. She goes the extra mile all the time and is extremely organized and efficient in her work. She is the one you want working with you in a computer downtime because she does not get stressed out!

I see lots of new techs asking Chris for help. She has progressed so well and has become an invaluable resource in our department!

Chris was surprised in the Lab break room by the Patient Satisfaction Committee, Senior Team, Managers, Directors and members of her department on Wednesday, July 18th.

Her exceptional service was recognized with a variety of Heywood gift items, cake, and even a premium reserved parking spot for the month!

A special thank you to Last Minute Gifts & Flowers for the monthly donation of a beautiful arrangement!

Chris is now featured on the Service Star Wall near the Dining Room.

Congratulations, Chris!
