Heywood Hospital's Surgical Services area is home to four operating rooms, equipped with the latest technology, where over 1,000 procedures are performed monthly. Surgical Services also offers a highly skilled pain management practice that provides essential services to our community.

Many of our OR nurses have earned their CNOR certification, which is the only accredited credentialing program for perioperative registered nurses. The CNOR certification program is designed for perioperative nurses interested in enhancing and validating their specialized knowledge and skills. CNOR-certified nurses are committed to providing the highest quality care to their surgical patients.

Our standard hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Your referring physician's office will assist in scheduling your procedure, as well as covering our community's emergent surgical needs 24/7. We pride ourselves on reduced wait times for outpatient surgery.

At Heywood Hospital, we offer more than 700 types of surgical procedures, including adult and pediatric otorhinolaryngology (ENT), endoscopic gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological and urogynecological procedures, obstetrics, orthopedics (including trauma, sports injury repair, total hip and total knee replacements), pain management, podiatry, and urology (including extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy).
