The BEE Award for patient care team members was created to recognize and celebrate the unsung heroes who exemplify compassion, dedication, and excellence every single day — our incredible nursing support staff. Named after the hard-working bee, this award honors the tireless efforts and commitment of patient care team members to their patients and the broader medical community. Recipients of the BEE Award are nominated by colleagues, volunteers, patients, or their families and are recognized for going above and beyond their duties to provide exceptional care. Just as the daisy cannot bloom without the help of the bee, nurses rely on the unwavering support of those who work alongside them to provide the highest quality care. Nursing support staff — including certified nursing assistants (CNAs), patient care technicians, critical care technicians, and medical assistants — play a vital role in the healing journey. The BEE Award recognizes individuals who consistently exceed expectations in their roles, exemplifying kindness, teamwork, and a commitment to prioritizing patients' needs. Whether it's offering a warm smile, a helping hand, or going the extra mile to ensure comfort and dignity, these individuals truly embody what it means to be extraordinary, every day.
