PPE Making

Special Thank You

Thank you all those who have supported Heywood Healthcare during this time. Whether you have made monetary donations, provided food for our staff, supplied necessary PPE, or have just spread the word about the work we do, we are so appreciative of you. Thank you also to those who have helped with our BackPack Program during this time. YOU have helped made our community healthy!

If you have essential medical supplies (masks, PPE, etc.) and are willing to donate them to our organization, please call 978-751-1289.

Instructions for:

How will these donated PPE be used?
The CDC has approved fabric masks to be used in crisis response. Heywood Healthcare is using these masks for patients, visitors and non-clinical staff for cleanliness or minor infection control. Donations of other PPE will be used to help conserve resources so that the disposable PPE can be saved for staff and clinical providers working with highly infectious patients.

How should donated PPE be packaged for drop-off?
You can put all completed masks in one re-sealable plastic bag. They do not need to be packaged individually. If you have made multiple sizes and have not labeled the masks (see pattern for instructions), please package different sizes in different plastic bags.

Where and when can I drop off completed PPE donations?
Donations may be dropped off in re-sealable plastic bags at either Heywood Hospital or Athol Hospital entrances which are staffed 24/7.

Gardner, MA

Athol Hospital
1033 Main Street

Keep sharing photos of your completed masks! Thank you for all that you are doing to support our patients and our healthcare community.
