Ms. Casavant serves as Vice President of Strategy and External Affairs, Chief Philanthropy Officer and Executive Director of the Heywood Healthcare Charitable Foundation. Ms. Casavant’s areas of leadership include Government Relations, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Program Development, Resource Development, Philanthropy and Human Resources.
Prior to joining Heywood Healthcare in 2012, Ms. Casavant served nearly 10 years as Vice President of Community Relations and Development for a Community Health Connections, Inc. (a new federally qualified community health center). During her tenure, the Health Center experienced tremendous growth expanding from one location to four, and expanding service offerings to include dental, behavioral health, and school-based oral healthcare.
Additionally, Ms. Casavant spearheaded a number of regional collaboratives including the Regional Youth Task Force and the Oral Health Initiative of North Central MA, significantly expanding access to dental services for marginalized youth and families.
Ms. Casavant holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management, and Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management. Ms. Casavant is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Casavant is also a recipient of the United Way Community Builder Hammer Award, the North Quabbin Community Coalition Bridge Builder Award, and the Gardner Rotary International 7910 Good Fellowship Award and Rotarian of the Year Award.
