Christina Cutting

Christina Cutting

With over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Christie has managed a wide range of state, federal, and privately funded programs. Her extensive portfolio includes start-up initiatives, vocational and educational services, housing assistance, accessibility loan programs, and behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services. She holds a degree in Human Services and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. In 2017, Christie began with Heywood’s School-Based Youth Tele Behavioral Health Program, an innovative initiative designed to close critical gaps in care for adolescents with behavioral health needs and co-occurring disorders. The program provides school-based counseling through secure video sessions with licensed mental health clinicians, supported by on-site Community Health Workers who serve as care coordinators and resource specialists for students, families, and school staff. Beyond program operations, Christie has been instrumental in advocating for systemic change. Her efforts, alongside the Heywood team, led to formal recognition from the Massachusetts Legislature, which recommended the statewide replication of the model. Today, this approach has not only been adopted across Massachusetts but has also expanded throughout New England, serving as a blueprint for accessible, school-based behavioral healthcare.
