The Men's Suicide Prevention Program at Heywood Hospital is now offering a support groups, specifically for men.
MENder's brings together guys facing similar issues including illness, anger, stress, substance abuse, relationship problems or major life changes. By using a whole host of techniques, participants can develop the skills to deal with stressors. Members of support groups often share experiences and advice.
The MENders - Men's Support Group takes place the first and third Wednesday of each month from 7 - 9 pm at Heywood Hospital's Damon Building, 235 Green Street in Gardner, at the corner of Matthews Street. Participants may enter by the front entrance of the building.
There is ample parking in the Heywood lots located on both sides of the Damon Building. Please arrive a few minutes before the meeting if possible. In the event of hazardous weather, or an unlikely cancellation of our meeting, please refer to the Heywood Hospital website, www.Heywood.org
