Heywood Hospital's LaChance Maternity Center offers the newborn cuddling program to assist in meeting the comfort needs of infants by cuddling, rocking, strolling or using a pacifier as indicated. Our volunteers also perform other baby related tasks as needed such as feeding (if no medical issues with feeding) or diaper changes with supervision from the nurse and comfort young children either through reading or play therapy.
