Rose Kavalchuck, BA, MA, MHA, MT(ASCP)

Rose M. Kavalchuck, MA, MHA, CJCP, CMQOE, CSSBB, CPHRM is the Vice President Governance, Integration, and Compliance & Chief Quality Officer of Heywood Healthcare. Ms. Kavalchuck provides oversight for Heywood Healthcare’s quality improvement, risk management, and compliance systems, as well as supporting Heywood Healthcare’s Board of Trustees and its Strategic Planning Committee. She also serves as the Administrator for the Heywood Physician Hospital Organization.

Ms. Kavalchuck has spent more than 40 years dedicated to advocating quality care & services and patient safety for those in the North Central region as her professional career started at Heywood as a Clinical Laboratory Manager and subsequently advanced to a number of leadership positions including Vice President of Professional Services, Vice President of Managed Care and Planning, and Vice President of Quality Systems and Managed Care. She has been instrumental in the continued growth and quality improvements to meet the evolving needs of this community.

Ms. Kavalchuck received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Fitchburg State College and a Master of Arts in Biological Studies from Anna Maria College. In addition, Ms. Kavalchuck holds a Masters in Health Care Administration earned through a joint program between Clark University and the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She is a registered Medical Technologist (ASCP), a Certified Joint Commission Professional, and is also certified by the American Hospital Association in Healthcare Risk Management. She has also earned certifications as a Manager of Quality & Organizational Excellence and a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Ms Kavalchuck is a leader in healthcare as a Senior Member of ASQ, currently serving on a team of quality professionals working to develop a Body of Knowledge for a new certification program in Healthcare Quality. She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, MassHealth Hospital Quality Advisory Committee, and MHA’s Physician Hospital Integration Collaborative. Ms. Kavalchuck also serves on the Board of Directors for the Winchendon Health Foundation.
