The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Heywood Hospital was presented with the President’s Circle award in recognition of a Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence with outstanding performance.
The Heywood Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine achieved patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days to heal, for a minimum of two consecutive years. The Center was awarded this prestigious honor by Healogics, the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services. Out of 340 eligible Centers, 26 were honored with this award nationwide, and Heywood Hospital is only one of three in Massachusetts. The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
“We are thrilled to have our Wound Care Center recognized on a national level for the outstanding care they provide to our patients every day,” shared Heywood Healthcare President & CEO Win Brown. “At any given time, almost seven million Americans suffer from chronic, non-healing wounds. Our Center uses the most up-to-date approaches to wound healing and remains current in new scientific advances in wound care. For most patients, our program leaves them completely healed in just a few months, and lets them get back to their normal lives.”
The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Heywood Hospital is a member of the Healogics network of nearly 700 Wound Care Centers®, with access to benchmarking data and proven experience treating approximately 2.5 million chronic wounds.
