Heywood Healthcare received a $500,000 pledge from the Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation, Inc. to improve patient care and safety by supporting the continuing development of the Quabbin Retreat, one project of Heywood Healthcare’s Fulfilling Our Promise Capital Campaign.
This generous donation will support Information Technology Infrastructure and Information Systems, necessary components for the opening of the adult residential treatment facility and outpatient mental health and substance use services.
The Quabbin Retreat, located in Petersham, is positioned to be a regional destination for substance misuse and behavioral health treatment to meet this overwhelming need. The dedicated 75,000 square foot center will offer outpatient, residential and inpatient services to those struggling with behavioral health and substance misuse problems.
“The generous support of community-minded companies like Coverys helps us continue our quest to meet the healthcare needs of our community. Throughout the country, many are in critical need of behavioral health and substance abuse services, and we are proud to be leading the way in providing access for our region” said Dawn Casavant, Executive Vice President of the Heywood Healthcare Charitable Foundation.
