- Requirements
Works in food production area. Prepares and cooks a variety of food for patient meal service, cafeteria, catering, and other areas as required. Receives and stores food and other materials following proper HACCP procedures. Provides supervision in the absence of food service director and supervisors. Performs general sanitation and cleaning duties.
Minimum of 2 years cooking experience. Previous healthcare experience and food sanitation certification is desirable. Must
be capable of working in a busy environment. Must have leadership ability. Position requires lifting, carrying, and moving
equipment. Must be able to perform written recipes and other instructions. Must have general knowledge of a variety of pieces of
cooking and holding equipment. Must be able to cook and prepare items using a variety of methods.
