There will be a Theme Basket Raffle, Bake Sale, Craft Table, Raffles and Face Painting in the Dining Room.
Evergreens, wreaths & boxwoods available for sale in the Atrium at the Hospital.

Birth Loss Memorial Service
A Service of Remembrance
The Annual Birth Loss Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 2:00pm at People's Church in Ashburnham, MA. The event is designed for family and loved ones to remember a child they may have lost before, at or shortly after the time of birth. Gardner Area Interagency Team
The GAIT Team is committed to the coordination and improvement of health and human services in the Greater Gardner Area. Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for networking, communication and collaborations between area concerned citizens and the Community at large. To promote the development and enhancement of health and human Services in our area. To advocate on behalf of consumers seeking, receiving or in need Of health and human services in our area. To promote CLAS:Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services standards within the Greater Gardner Service Area.
Meetings are held on the last Friday of every month at 8:30am in Dining room Conference Room A. Except for July and August. We do not meet during the summer and November and December's meeting are joined on the 2nd Friday in December due to the holiday season.

Asthma accounts for over 1/6 million Emergency Department visits per year
From 2003-2005 African American children had a death rate 7 times that of non-Hispanic white children
Females have a higher rate of asthma regardless of race
Puerto Ricans report 2.5 times more asthma attacks per year than non-Hispanic whites

National Recovery Month
Please join Heywood Hospital in celebrating National Recovery Month on Tuesday, September 20th. Prevention Works - Treatment is Effective - People Recover.
Keynote speaker: Jennifer Flanagan (D-Leominster).
Vendors Include: Substance Abuse Education Providers - Detox Centers. Local Service Organizations: AA/NA - MA DPH/SBIRT. Admission is FREE and open to the public. There will be door Prizes and refreshments.
