Heywood Hospital physicians, leaders and clinicians will gather later this spring to celebrate the Center of Distinction Award, which was given to The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Heywood Hospital by Healogics, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal, and other quality outcomes. There were more than 821 centers eligible nationally for the Center of Distinction Award; Heywood was 1 of only 10 hospitals in Massachusetts to achieve this award.
“We are thrilled that the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Heywood Hospital is receiving this award," stated Win Brown, President & CEO of Heywood Healthcare. "Patient satisfaction is always our top priority and it is an honor to be one of only 10 hospitals in Massachusetts recognized with this distinction. I applaud the entire Wound Care Center staff for their dedication to patient satisfaction and quality care.”
