Vice President Clinical Services and Chief Quality Officer Rose Kavalchuck has spent most of her career dedicated to assuring that the patients of Heywood Hospital receive excellent care and services. From the beginning, Ms. Kavalchuck’s career grew along with Heywood and her contributions have been many over the past 30 years.


Ms. Kavalchuck’s experience spans nearly every area of the hospital, starting as Clinical Chemistry Supervisor, then Clinical Laboratory Manager. In time, she joined the hospital administration team as Vice President Professional Services, providing direction to a variety of clinical departments.


Since that time, Ms. Kavalchuck has supported Heywood Hospital in a number of leadership roles including Vice President Managed Care and Planning, Vice President Managed Care and Professional Services, and Vice President Quality Services and Managed Care.


In her current position as Vice President Clinical Services and Chief Quality Officer, Ms. Kavalchuck leads many of the hospital’s most important clinical service areas, including Radiology, Laboratory, Cardio-pulmonary, Cardiac Rehab, Sleep Center, Social Service, and Case Management. As Chief Quality officer, she has the overall responsibility for the hospital’s performance improvement systems, risk assessment and compliance, and serves as Administrator for the Physician Hospital Organization.


She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Fitchburg State College and a Master of Arts in Biological Studies from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts. In addition, Ms. Kavalchuck holds a Masters in Health Care Administration earned through a joint program between Clark University and University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.
